Early be the sunrise, how was the day?
Sun's rays that scattered as the pixie dust;
June be the summer king, so is the May,
Time for us to fulfill our wanderlust;
Cheers to the long-awaited summer breaks,
Reminiscing the good old joyous times;
Those ice-lollies and creamy chilled milkshakes,
Popsicle fundraiser gathered by dimes;
Long landline calls to discuss picnic plan,
What's the delight for hotpots from each home?
Was the agenda of the cousin clan,
Faces with smiles printed in monochrome:
The picture so vivid and full of life,
A gush of memories got me in rife.
