A Summer Love Song
Photo by Emilio Garcia on Unsplash

This summer’s day my mind escapes into daydreams far away,

just like the water ripples in the wind.

The sun sparks memories that warm my heart, pulls me in and begs of me to stay,

and I would linger longer lost and free, bask with no regard, if time itself would bend.

🌿

To float away on sun rays,

disappear from watching eyes.

To a calmer place where peace and laughter plays,

lost here in the moment, consumed with serenity, under calming clear blue summer skies.

🌼

Listen as the water, it’s love song softly sings,

rushing longingly towards the sand, as if were spelled.

Caressing like a lover, with the wind beneath its wing,

growing stronger as the tide begins to swell

🌺

Such sweet natural surrender, only very few have known,

I long one day to grasp such for myself, but now with evening looming and the sun sinking away, I must make my lonely journey home alone.
