Evening comes quickly, quicker than normal, taking the warmth of the sun with it.
Clouds, dark and ominous, roll in.
Lightning, without warning, arcs across the sky as it searches for a place to touch the ground.
I can’t help but stare at the sky as claps of thunder punch holes through the silence.
Perplexed and enamored with the change of the weather, I am unable to pull away.
Spiky raindrops hammer down, threatening to slice my skin and puncture the earth.
Even then, the clouds and lightning keep me ensnared in their trap as I try to anticipate what will happen next.
