A Stormy Night
Nature’s Fury Knows No Bounds
Violet
Are the veins that illuminate the sky.
The ground rumbles ominously underfoot.
Blue-gray storm clouds provide a backdrop,
As lightning streaks vividly overhead.
Thunder cracks.
BOOM.
.
Ferocious,
Nature’s fury
Whipping the trees into a frenzy.
Birds soar wildly, hoping to find shelter.
Branches are swaying, all helter-skelter.
Wildlife dashes away, frantic.
Seeking solace,
Reprieve.
.
Tempest.
Incomparable chaos,
Gaia is in an uproar.
Thick, winding roots ripped from the soil below.
Maple’s cry lost in the wind.
His time is at an end.
Strong trunk falling,
Precious sap oozing from within.
Oak, hold steady.
Be ready.
Stay!
.
FLASH
CRASH!
Nature’s canvas
Always changing,
Forever rearranging.
An entire habitat felled,
Yet nature endures, as do her inhabitants.
There may be hardship, struggle,
In the end,
Resilience.
Renewal.
Rebirth.
. . .
