A Steamy Love Affair
This is why tea is an everyday choice for me
There is something truly amazing about a cup of tea which is hot. It's not only a drink; it's also a ritual, a time of tranquility in a busy life. For me, tea is a necessary thing of my day.
My first fling with tea was during a very stressful time. The deadlines were approaching, my mind was clouded and the anxiety was eating me from inside. A friend proposed a cup of green tea, saying it is calming and focus-enhancing. The doubts were overwhelming but the desperation was too strong, so I took a sip.
The warmth eased me right away, and while I was enjoying the slight taste, I experienced a huge wave of relaxation. My mind got sharp and I was able to deal with my tasks in a new way. It was a revelation!
Hence, tea has been my daily friend for a long time. Black tea is my cup of morning energy booster, on the other hand, chamomile is the sleep-inducing agent for me.
However, it is not only about emotions; there is an interesting science behind this phenomenon. Tea has a lot of antioxidants that are the research of free radicals that can harm the cells.
Research shows that it can be of help to the heart, the immune system, and also to weight management.
