A sheer wall—

the strongest of its kind—

between her and the outside.

Maybe it began with you

Her face turned away,

she felt the hurt creeping in,

the hot, fuming heat.

The wall felt cold—

This side of space is vast;

it is lit.

She is safe.

Yet she hears she is a failure.

The wall is comforting.

She is cold

The noises born of space

bounce on and off its sheer flesh,

trying to remove the words she hears.

She thinks she is what she hears.

When she cannot find her voice and sound,

This space even sings for her.

This power is immense—

holding her,

holding the wall.

She can’t do anything else.

She feels at home.

She won't do anything else.

She is safe.

But she is in the dark,

amputated once again.

She has lived here for too many years.

She calls it home.

But a quiet truth is stirring—

this once sacred sanctuary,

like a mother’s womb,

will open a portal for her.

For her mom.

For her daughter.

We both know,

and soon, she will too:

that -

That was her first home.

He Who Held the Wall" or "The Space That Sings For her." tells the reader that the vastness around our female character isn't empty—it is a conscious, deeply devoted masculine presence keeping watch over her transformation.
