A Space

inner and outer

my head is in a funny place

but it left my body way behind

and the scars that are scribbled upon it

are like maps of my wayward mind

written on a dirty roadhouse napkin

on a hundred dirty dingy dunny doors

written of fear and in ignorance

of all them fucking laws

the stars have left for the sky again tonight

once again i've been blessed with this sight

no more pandering or meandering or mud raking and slandering

cause this lane aint going right!

the maps in my mind

and the lines on my face

my ticket my key

my way out of this place

our numbers our senses a spiral a path

enter a plea of contempt

refusing to see what it was to be

and exactly what i meant

when a tale is told there is a magic

for both the telling and the tale

this magic spurs us on and on

let none perish, flee or fail

and this is exactly as it was meant to be taken

this is exactly as it was construed

and to the very last letter of every single word

a space

surreal poetry
