A song for the broken hearted

.

By Vici KiehmPublished 3 years ago • 1 min read

In the silent chambers of the heart, where secrets lie,

Buried deep in shadows, away from prying eyes,

Lies the heartache and pain, a treasure trove of tears,

Locked in a chest of memories, accumulated over years.

A melody of melancholy, a symphony of woe,

The cello's mournful notes, like rivers of sorrow flow,

Each strain a whispered echo, of a story left untold,

Of love that turned to ashes, of dreams that grew cold.

In moments of reverie, when the world stands still,

We touch that hidden cord, against our heart's will,

A pang shoots through our chest, a physical ache,

As if the buried pain, from slumber, starts to wake.

But oh, we've mastered the art, of keeping it at bay,

Of smiling through the tears, of pushing it away,

For in that pain, a comfort lies, a reminder that we're real,

A testament to the emotions we still deeply feel.

The song of the broken-hearted, a symphony of the soul,

A chorus of the unspoken, a tale that takes its toll,

Yet amidst the haunting music, there's a strength that does reside,

For in acknowledging the pain, a glimmer of hope is spied.

Though buried in the recesses, of our heart's hidden domain,

This pain becomes a beacon, a guide through joy and pain,

It reminds us we're alive, that we can still endure,

That even in the darkest night, a tiny light is pure.

So let the cello weep its song, let the heartache play its part,

For within the depths of pain, lies the strength of a beating heart,

And though the world may never know, the secrets that we keep,

We find solace in the melody, and in the night, we weep.
