A Snake Came Out Of My Loo

A snake popped up in my loo last night,

Gave me and my hubby a horrible fright.

They always say keep the loo lid down

a snake or a rat get get in with out a sound.

It slithered and coiled by the porcelain rim,

Eyes like dark beads, cold and grim.

We stumbled back, too shocked to shout,

Wondering how the devil it wriggled out.

Police came a got the snake and rat out

It frightened us in fear we screamed out

We’re always told to keep loo lids down

I never thought it would happen.

It made me frown and think twice.

Having a snake bite your ass well,

It’s just not nice.

Tonight just was not nice.

The lid’s down now, tight and sealed,

A silent guard, a porcelain shield.

But every flush, I pause and stare,

Half-expecting a snake to be lurking there.
