She lies everyday
To strangers
To loved ones
She pretends she's okay
In reality she's crying inside.
She avoids eye contact at all times
She plasters a smile on her face
Forces herself to laugh at people's dumb jokes
Avoids their eyes, those prying eyes
In reality, she's dying inside.
What will it take for people to see
She's a hazard to herself?
She's never been happy
Always been different
She's crying out for help
No one takes much notice
They're all wrapped up in their own Utopia
She cries herself to sleep most nights,
But, just tonight, she spends it writing
As she takes her own life.
