Sailing through a world of loss, searching for a single drop of hope.

A Sip Of  Survival

I sailed and sailed my boat,

The words of pain — the pain I note,

From beginning to end, I got hurt,

On the way, I saw dead cows and a goat.

Far away, there seemed to be colourful art,

But the closer I got, it saddened my heart.

Polythene and plastic, just like in the mart,

Deep inside, it suffocated my heart.

Suddenly, the surface appeared a little different,

I turned and saw a stream of poisonous effluent!

So I sailed and sailed so fast,

A gathering of people working from the past,

Where it deepens and deepens, forming a pit,

As they pulled the sand bit by bit.

Then the path narrows and narrows to a dot,

Which makes me realise — it is actually so hot.

Now, as I started to walk by foot,

Meanwhile, my ears caught a distant hoot.

I saw the fields had turned into a barren desert,

Suddenly, a huge crowd of people stood alert!

I held my breath and walked so fast,

Ahh!! There was a man, unlikely to last.

After checking his pulse, the man in a white coat,

Instead of any medicine, a bottle of "WATER"

Was all he wrote...
