A SIMPLE WISH

A WISH AND A FISH

On the lakes edge we sit,

How much better can it get,

Fishing lines in the water,

The day is getting hotter,

Geese swim on by,

Not a cloud in the sky,

My boy says " Dad I love you",

What’s a father to do?

A smile on my face,

It does not get any better than this,

He makes a simple little wish,

Dad we need to catch a fish,

On the lakes edge we sit,

How much better can it get,

Fishing lines in the water,

The days getting hotter,

Watching the boats go by,

Not a cloud in the sky,

My boy says " Dad I love you",

What’s a father to do?

A smile on my face,

It does not get any better than this,

A simple little wish,

He catches his first fish,

It does not get any better than this.
