A River Flows
A short poem about a river
A river flows with tears of laughter
Of hope and joy and days thereafter
It winds its way through hills and dales
It winds its way through valleys deep
With secrets hidden in its tales
With waters calm and ripples steep
Its banks are soft, its waters clear
Reflects the sky and wipes your tears
It soothes the soul, brings us peace
And whispers stories of the past
And carries with it life and peace,
Laughter, love, and memories cast
A source of hope, a gentle friend
Reminds of love that never ends
It whispers secrets if you listen
Memories pass, but dreams still glisten
A journey through time, a path untold
With stories of love, and tales of old
A river flows with grace and might
Glimmers of hope and beacons bright
Let us cherish this gift of life
The endless stream, this endless strife
A river is more than just a flow
It is our journey, come rain or snow.
