Flow — oh so gently — into fading light,

And embrace the soft luminous darkness;

Rest, rest thoroughly, through Winter's long night.

Release the resistance of any fight,

As you wrap yourself in silken stillness;

Flow oh so gently into fading light.

Cloak your mind in silent mantel snow white,

Let serenity tame your wilderness;

Rest, rest thoroughly, through Winter's long night.

Evoke your body's wise and knowing sight,

Move slow, aglow with tranquil awareness;

Flow oh so gently into fading light.

Soak your soul in crisp velvet skies, star-bright

Offer your heart peace, calm, and forgiveness;

Rest, rest thoroughly, through Winter's long night.

Time will bring Spring, and then growth will ignite —

Until then, rejoice in slumber's sweetness.

Flow oh so gently into fading light,

Rest — rest thoroughly — through Winter's long night.
