A Poet's Halcyon

Maybe the words were meant to write me instead

Maybe I’m not good at poetry

Maybe the words were meant to write me instead

All I know is that written tongues transform into ballads of agony and some of ‘love confounded’ when really it’s limerence.

Elation in abundance, choosing joy as a life path.

But maybe I’m not good at poetry.

Maybe frozen truths thaw out under the right pressure.

Not midnight screamin kinda pressure.

Not paper clip and noodle string McGuver kinda pressure.

But a willingness to cut through rose colored glasses, cut through cherub bubble thoughts, the ones lacking substance, let alone dialogue.

But maybe I just  have high hopes for the duality of our ever green world.

Or maybe… just maybe I’m not good at poetry
