A Poetic Pair Of Soxs

Loosely Inspired And Submitted To The Static Challenge

By Marc OBrienPublished 2 months ago • 1 min read

A pair of sox

Fashionably they rock

Hitting the streets

Acting exceptionally sweet

Spring fills the air

Freshness cannot compare

Calendar months turn

Sun starts to burn

Soxs no longer needed

Considered conceded

Down to the cellar they both go

Soxless Joe now runs the show

A dryer they do find

Light bulb goes off in their mind

Jump into the whirling container

Thinking this is a no brainer

Pressing buttons, giving it a spin

The Soxs ponder 'this is a formula to win'

When the cycle is done

Games are amusing and fun

Soxs cling together

Enduring the humid weather

Magically, an energy spark

Encourages them to set a mark

Hoping the static
