A Poetic Infant Baby Reading (Spoken From The Family Guest)
Submitted To The Uncommon Challenge
Reflect little one
Years later when my message is done
It could stimulate your senses
Not cost many Pounds or Pences
Today, smile with your infant cheeks
Hearing the words, I do speak
When something is rare
Do not dare
Instead handle with care
Since tomorrow it may not be there
These cherished memories you share
Occasional events that are rare
Remembering, you escape an attitude bitter and bare
Like the day you take a husband and wife
Committed for life
Fending off challenging personal weather
Winning feeling better
Oh, you then arrived
Screaming a joyful cry
That cannot be denied
Now you are ready to go
To get older and grow
Maturing along learning from mistakes
Relishing in successes that are great
Yes! You are now alive and in control
Worth more than gold
Rare all this might be
Oh, geez did you just pee?
