a poem to help you get unstuck

And the hours kept on ticking as I tried to rid myself from the drab of procrastination.

Hold on. I'll get to it. I have time.

But do you?

None of us can truly say that with much confidence.

It is time to let go of the past.

And even more so, time to let go of the future.

It does not exist yet.

All you have, all we have, is the sacred now.

So yes, be here.

Reading this poem,

smelling the scent of the room you're in.

Listening to whatever background noise.

Seeing the screen of your phone.

Letting the words leave said screen

and enter the temple of your heart.

You deserve to be here.

You deserve to pursue the hope of your dreams.

So, here is your permission slip.

Let go.

Let go.

Let go.

Hold on.

Hold on.

Hold on.

Just because you didn't do it when you said you would

doesn't mean it won't get done.

Here is your chance to begin again.

and again.

and again.

Here is to never giving up

and always getting closer to the promised land.
