A Poem For Grandma

Grandma

She fights between what she knows to be true,

And what her heart says.

This battle must go on,

She herself never knowing why,

At one glance seeing a life gone on too long.

Then bravely taking another look,

Seeing a little more left to give.

But knowing truly the fight is over,

Having lived life well.

There is no more she has to tell,

No more memories she has to make.

For there is already a lifetime full,

Although, this is not a fight to be won.

There is also no looser,

In her death comes peace and comfort.

Pain then will be something far away,

So in this time.

I shall not say goodbye.

For I know I will see you again,

To a life well spent I say.

I love you I shall miss you,

I will see you again!
