Lying there where the darkness rests
A place next to me at the table,
Your empty plate and cup.
But will never be my you.
A ticking sound from my clock,
All the seconds passing by with me.
As books grow older there becomes less words
To fill the gaps within their story’s
Memories we hold inside our mind
Pictures of us you will find
Will leave a blank spot that you will not mind
Because it will never say your name.
