Poem and Feelings

A PLACE IN THIS WORLD

There is a place in this world But all at the same time; It is not in this world It is distinct from our social reality It is a hidden place far away but all so close It is free from social hierarchies And vapour trails An owl lives there He is cunning and bright He outsmarts the superpowers of this world

All so that he can live in a better one Away from social constructs about value and positivity These humans live only a portion of his lifespan His feathers display colours no human could ever comprehend

He is alone He is smart He is safe His worth is equal to the worth of a million human lives and more

The owl often stares at the moon And the moon often looks back at our destructive world The owl is thankful The moon never seems to look upon him As although he is above us all He feels like the most disgusting thing in existence

Which is why In his solitude He finds comfort
