Ivy covered cottages line streets of cobblestone

Chimneys puff the sweetest smell of smoke

Jack-o-lantern greeters smile everywhere you go

In the distance is the song of cawing crows

Dried leaves crunch under your feet

As fiddles dance upon the breeze

October fulfills all your needs

Providing fall's festivities

Wool sweaters squeeze and hug you tight

As rainbow colored leaves learn how to fly

You'll find it's too hard to deny

A midnight fire, under starlit skies

The sunset rests upon your sill

A lazy, lonely whippoorwill

Singing songs into the still

To chase away the chill
