A Perfect Mix

By Ric Stone

One of two legs, Hands and a thumb

All we wonder, is where we come from

Not one of us certain, with details at rest

Just take a look around and realize at best

A bluebird of song. Seeking love and affection.

Flying away in our own resurrection.

Reptilian blood keeps us calm and collected.

With the mane of Our Lion to keep us protected.

Rage of a Tiger that’s in love with Hyena

Together they run. And ski down Cortina

Love of the Bear looking out for her young

Hateful and Thankful of the bee that has stung

The animal kingdom and children alike

All have the power to take control of their life

Evil is present, but fight it we must

With words as our weapon. All they have is Lust.
