There’s a girl sitting on the floor in a corner
Knees folded to her chest, facing the wall
She is neither scared or sad
Simply confused
Exhausted from chasing time and time never actually running out
Trying to exist in a dual reality
Shedding the confinements of one,
embodying the other
There’s yelling going on
Several voices screaming over each other
No one listening
Just wanting to be heard
Needing to be felt
Impatiently waiting for permission to drive the ship
Not knowing that the power they hold can overthrow the whole damn thing
This is not a sad poem
There’s no despair here
Just more depths than what can fit into a few lines
