The grass has turned green; flowers are in bloom.

Leaves offer their shade and beauty. Summer is here.

Time goes back to the days of relaxation,

Sitting on the patio with a beer.

Conversation flows, family and friends

Surround in their lawn chairs. Fireworks pop.

Good times with good people are what is great.

We often wish days like that did not stop.

But summer comes around again next year.

Warm days and time off rejuvenate us.

Vacations and new places, tent or bed,

Travel by air, car, camper, or a bus.

This year, summer, please stay an extra day.

Please let the sun shine down an extra ray.
