A Passage to Peace

Amidst the darkness, I feel at peace,

Waiting for the light to grant me release,

In the depths of my soul, there's a flicker of hope,

That keeps me alive, helps me to cope.

Yet standing in the light, I'm filled with fear,

Uncertain of what may come near,

Waiting for a sign, a miracle, a clue,

To guide me on what I should do.

But through it all, I hold on to hope,

A burning desire that helps me to cope,

For without it, what reason to survive?

Hope is the force that keeps us alive.

A passage to peace, my guiding light,

To overcome fear and take flight,

For hope and desire, they keep us alive,

And lead us towards the serenity we strive.
