A Parents Love

Sweet Child

By Brooke RoddyPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Quieten down my sweet child. I have a story to tell. Lay your head on my shoulder so your skin I can smell. I'll shelter you child from a world so cold. And when we're crossing the street your hand I will hold. When you need me I'll be there, just call mommy's name, or if you really need daddy he'll be there the same. See, we loved you before we laid eyes on your face. You hold a spot in our heart that can never be replaced. No one can ever love you the way that we do. So don't rush when you hug us, hold us tight for a few.
