A New Era Of Wishing Everyone The Worst

Let the past remain in the past

: A poem about the long-term process of replacing the past with new things

*

My gait has changed

In the modern age

Of the spoiled kids’ attitude

Surrounding me like parachutes

Opened too soon to be safe

Flown away without a clue

What is this life about

That is why

I would-be the killer of my sister

Threw her into the garbage or a canal

When I was her babysitter

Not knowing that soon

I will be condemned and sentenced

To the worst penalty

Pushed out of the circle

Onto a lonesome and lamenting road

But I prefer that

Than the mud of a small town

Smudged on my face

Not recognising anyone familiar

Around

In this fairground

Where can false words be stuffed

On everyone’s lips

If you believe in a fairy tale

Stripping an honest and innocent person from all glory

Without a real explanation

Only turned into an accusation

Of the crystal

That it isn’t a carbon

But that would be a joke

And the opposite

Of the real thing

Transgressed rapidly
