A Mystery
A challenging poem by Keila Aartila
What is that flying in the air?
Maybe it’s a floating bear?
That really doesn’t seem quite fair.
It’s a mystery to me.
***
Can’t you see how much I care?
Get the binocs, if you dare;
then we’ll make a curious pair.
It’s a mystery to me.
***
Look up now to see the box.
Maybe it contains a fox.
Maybe those are magic socks.
It’s a mystery to me.
***
Maybe we’ll get hit by rocks,
having never seen the lochs,
or moved our stuck feet from these docks.
It’s a mystery to me.
***
I’m feeling caught up in a snare
or suffering those itchy pox.
Can you resolve this mystery for me?
This nonsense is related to trying to form an idea worthy of entering into the new challemge.

Outstanding rhyming!!! Perfect timing!!! Loving the repeated line!!!
Fun!!! I really enjoyed this one!!!
Loved your rhymed 'procrastination'! Your line 'Get the binocs, if you dare;' stuck with me! Re 'finding the idea worthy', I just came upon George Saunders'advice: "You don’t have to worry too much about the ideas in the beginning, but you have to find a little fragment that excites you for reasons you can’t explain".
Lol, the things we do while trying to come up with an idea. Loved your poem!
Ah, this was fun! Loved the rhyming, and the repeating line was very catchy. Great work!
Haha. This is great. Well done.
I love that I’m not the only person who automatically makes a rhyme. Lol
