A Mother's Love, a Child's Wings
A heartfelt poem celebrating the unwavering love and strength a mother provides, nurturing a child's journey from bud to soaring flight.
From a small bud, you held me in your womb,
A story of love blooms and is spelled out.
Your arms were like a nest so hot and wide
Where dreams took flight and fears died.
By hand that calms is washed all the pain,
And everything bad is taken away from my mind.
Laughter is ringing, making up words of joy
Which string together as I move along as told.
In tears with scraped knees yet have flowing freely,
Ever being healed through calming words really.
Strength taught for life’s many unknowns,
You are now the soil where wings can be sown.
Though years may pass and seasons change,
But your love will never be rearranged in my heart.
A great light that never fades away,
Soaring high above as directed by your guiding star.
For everything you are and have ever done
My grateful heart rises like the sun.
On this day, my dear mother we celebrate you,
Whose love seals fates such as mine too.
Letting me hold on to them tightly
And under its light whispering “thank you”.
With unexplainable affection, happy Mother’s Day!
Growing stronger than gold our bond.
