A Moment At Sea

What Dreams Are Made Of

The Azure sea with crests of white

Reflects the bright blue sky

Idle winds chase the wisps of cloud

And unfurl our sails gently

***

Dorsal fins break the water

As dolphins wheel and play

Diving through our bow waves

As we get underway

***

In our wake, the birds follow

The Terns & Gulls and more

Here a moment and then gone

Below surf in but a blink of an eye

***

We lay on the deck in our bathing suits

Our skin warmed and tanned

Condensation rolling seductively

Down ice-cold beers in happy hands

***

Gazing at the horizon

At the dot that once was land

holding hands, taking in life’s wonders

My love and I

***

Of Sea and air, life flowing free

We feel included

On the deck of our little boat

In life’s rich tapestry

***

This is what dreams are made of

The serenity of this moment

A snapshot of the best this world has to offer

The tableau laid out before us

The Sea and I
