A Moment
Wandering Words of a Broken Heart | Three

You pull me in close
kissing the back of my ear
running your fingers down
my neck, chest, stomach, thighs
hearing your breathing get heavier
the faint rhythm of your heartbeat
your beard brushing up against my skin
I am soon wrapped in your embrace
the faint scent of your cologne
dancing with my floral perfume
suddenly feeling timid
I hold back my words
in fear of shattering
this delicate and intricate silence
we share
all time around us stands still
as we are entangled in each other
I don’t want this moment to end
or any other moments with you
but it soon all does
quickly and sporadically
just like it started.
