A new little church just opened.
a little steeple rises in a
quiet neighborhood
in a serene woodland setting.
voices and spirits rise up
past the rafters
up above the treetops
into the heavens
hearts sing a song
of an ancient story of
how sinners became saints
coffee brewed
peppers taunted
smiles and stories
bounced around an
endless table
come as you are
no suit, no problem
your "Sunday best" is
you
not your clothes
just being your self
a place where the broken
are welcome
are wanted
are seen
are heard
are healed
a sanctuary
where miracles are
just waiting
to happen
A new little church just opened,.
