“Poetry Is not only dream and vision; It is the skeleton architecture of our lives. It lays the foundations for a future of change, a brigde across our fears of what has never been before.” — Audre Lorde.

Whether you are a dedicated poet or just a newbie staggering through the footprints of writing poetry(like me), its the art of aesthetic writing that binds us.

Poetry doesn’t only add color to life. Poetry nourishes our souls, Poetry is life. Just as anything else, Juicy poetry isn’t easy to find. I know there are a lot of poetry sites and communities on the web. But, be sure “quality” isn’t everywhere. There are so many poetry magazines on the market but if you haven’t got any spare bucks to spend on your poetry passions, there are numerous sites where you can read quality poems without paying any single penny. (Most of these sites have a “donate” button. Consider donating a few bucks to support these sites.)

In this particular one, am going to discuss 4 sites where you can get access to free unlimited poetry.

4 sites where you can get free unlimited poetry.

1. Poets.org

2. HelloPoetry.org

3. Poemhunters.com

4. Poetrysociety.org

Poets.Org:

Being affiliated with the Academy of American poets, Poets.org is one of the best if not the best poetry site on the web. This site features thousands of poems written by highly prominent and amateur poets too. From the beginning of time, poems were meant to be read and heard. Most sites will give you an option of only written poems. Well, poets.org offers hundreds of poems written by prominent poets like Edward Brousman and William Shakespeare in both a written and audio version which gives it a cut above the others. You can read and listen to all the poems and on this platform without paying even a single penny. Additionally, you can sign up or subscribe to receive a poem directly in your inbox every morning for free. Isn’t that interesting?

Poetrysociety.org :

Founded in 1910, the poetry society of America(PSA) is one of the leading sources of American poetry. The site has an appealing simple outlook. Best of all, the poems provided by this platform are completely free and open to all readers.

HelloPoetry.org:

Though this site has a lot of white space, this doesn’t make its content any less good. So far, I haven’t found a lot of poems written by top-notch poets but still, those featured on the platform have got the pens rolling. Since it’s an invite-only platform, the writers are chosen by moderators. If you want to become a writer on this platform, you have to first request “an invite” when requesting an invite, you submit your poem with your email. If your request gets accepted, you become a contributor on the platform.

PoetryHunters.com:

This site doesn’t only offer poems, but quotes too. Every day, there is a quote featured as the “quote of the day”. On PoetryHunters.com, You can find poems written by prominent poets like William Shakespeare, Robert Frost, Emilly Dickinson, William Wordsworth, etc.

Other sites where you can get access to free poetry.
