i was the silent girl

the quiet girl

the awkward girl

eventually,

a cute boy noticed the girl who kept her voice chained,

and he offered to unlock them with a key he had named Love

the key was so pretty,

and she was so lonely

she let him into her heart,

but as he wrapped his hands around her broken pieces

he pulled away the last shreds of a voice that she had

he took it all,

and the voiceless girl

was left with no more words to share

until he left

I am a writer. I am a writer. I am a writer.

I repeat the words to myself as a reminder of who I am and who I want to be. The shy girl grew up, and now she is learning to speak through poetry and words and the passion that pours out of her soul at any given moment.

After spending a lifetime silencing the voice that I was cursed with as a woman, this is the taste of freedom. I have written fourteen books, I have published one, and I have a dream to publish another.

To the past: You cannot have my voice anymore. Even when I cannot speak, I will voice the beautiful, wordy silence that echoes in my soul,

so that you can know how beautiful yours is, too.

Whether you are a writer, an artist, a non-creative, whoever you are - you have a voice, and my dream is to empower you to use it through my own.

Writing and sharing my words is my passion, and after a lifetime of voicelessness, it means the world to reach one more person. To support my dream is simply to reach out and take hold of whatever my writing means to you. To let it grow you.
