A Life That Can't Be Repeated

A Villanelle of regret

If I knew now what I knew then

I would have had a different life

It’s too late to live it again

🕰️🕰️🕰️🕰️

As years move on, opportunities open

The years go fast, they can’t be turned back

If I knew now what I knew then

🕰️🕰️🕰️🕰️

Middle age looms like a bad omen

If only I could turn back time

It’s too late to live it again

🕰️🕰️🕰️🕰️

Regrets don’t help cant’ do them again

Plague you in a life where you don’t fit

If I knew now what I knew then

🕰️🕰️🕰️🕰️

If I had only kept my life open

The years go by, they can’t be turned back

It’s too late to live it again

🕰️🕰️🕰️🕰️

Thoughts go by, don’t remember when

As my twilight years approach

If I knew now what I knew then

It’s too late to live it again

🕰️🕰️🕰️🕰️

Till next time,

Calvin
