A Kiss From Fury II: Sin’s Desire
“Fools give full vent to their rage, but the wise bring calm in the end.”
In the face of hate,
this fire that not just my feet, but my heart and mind both stand in...
this place that exists between sin's desire for me, that I must rule over
and my desire to sin, that I must not let rule over me‐
Within the walls of this case, where wants and wrath have met and become blended
an unholy mix as such as this...
I must put to death, to my heart's chagrin‐
As in the event that I decide not...
my rage might grin, but only to leave me behind without satisfaction
that it may show it's face to mine again, requesting that I take part in it's sin.
~
In the instance that any ill will places its face in front of mine,
it is more than merely my eyes that it must not meet,
but the space behind my eyes, and as well this heart of mine...
as actions I may keep my hands from, can still occur within such a deceitful vessel‐
No anger of mine will be justified, in any end...
What will I say in the moment I stand before God knowing I chose not to forgive...
but to bring a life to it's end‐
What will I say then?
How can I choose not to do the same that He did, as He has forgiven me?
Finally, how can I say no to letting go, he who's reflection I stand before?
~
In any mirror in which distaste begins to resonate within the glass,
it is not just my eyes that must be corrected, but the lense of lies which they look through...
as there is no prize for the strongest grip on the regretted sins my mind chooses to flip through‐
What might my creator say?...
to he who looks in the mirror and says, "No."
For where can a reflection, rejected, go?
The crown of thorns that was placed on Christ's head has no place on mine,
as all labels of shame have been taken to the cross in my place
there is left behind no space for the lies of the enemy to take their place in my mind
and certainly no space left in my heart, that my eyes might see, and choose hate.
About the Creator
JM
Personally, writing began as a creative outlet, to be a means of processing and venting emotion, but it has become so much more. Something I want not to be just relatable, enjoyable and a good read, but to reach someone who is in need.
