When did you learn you had power

when did you realize your wings

When did you bloom into flower

when did you find you could sing

*

When did the magic consume you

when did you walk from the fight

When did you learn what you could do

when did your heart soar in flight

*

When did life show you, it's beauty

when did you see it's design

When did you sign up for duty

when did you hit pause and rewind

*

When did you see your potential

When did you play your own drum

When did you show you're essential

When did you shed other's thumbs

*

We all get there, sooner or later

We all finally decide - it's enough

Life slips right on by, like a vapor

to get tangled in such messy stuff

*

One thing change gives is the freedom

To open our wings and take flight

So, take the free pass when you need-em'

shining like a star in the night

    ❤️😉

  • The wonder of the moment when realize that a child has grown up, that they've taken flight into their own path through this world, no longer so firmly tethered to our own, that they will now face their own risks & peril, & create something new. Ahh, the breathtaking wonder, as though the moment we realize it we think we may never breathe again, even as we know that they are already breathing it fully. Do you ever get tired of hearing us say how beautifully you write & convey your meaning?
