A History of Home

We Branch apart but our roots remain as one.

By Snarky WitchPublished 3 years ago 1 min read
Wilma Marian Murdoch (Nee Slade) and Donald James Murdoch, Wedding day 28th March 1953. (My Grandparents)

From one branch, onto the next

in a history of life

A connection that extends

from one husband to his wife.

My tree is ever growing

as I reach out, more and more,

from ancestors of the past

down to my little four.

People gone, but not forgotten,

a connection linked through time.

Everyday finding someone new,

with blood that's linked to mine.

It needs no roof,

tall walls or door,

This tree's now home

of a family more.

Spanning Cultures, countries far

across the oceans divide

this tree connects us, close and strong

A family worldwide.

Bloodlines that extend from me

A twisting tree that ever grows,

greater and more connected

from the love each family sows.

George Stanley John Edsall and Jessie Edsall (Nee Gilmore). (My Great Great Grandparents)

The Current Generation. My Love, My Children, Me.
