A shattered heart, the pieces fall apart,

Memories of love now filled with pain,

Once whole, now broken, torn apart.

The laughter echoes, like a broken heart,

A melody of what once brought gain,

A shattered heart, the pieces fall apart.

The tears they fall, like summer rain,

Washing away what once brought refrain,

Once whole, now broken, torn apart.

But still, I hold on to the hope that remains,

That love can heal and bring back what's sane,

A shattered heart, the pieces fall apart.

So I'll pick up the pieces, start again,

And find a love to make everything plain,

Once whole, not broken, no longer apart.
