A glimpse of eternity

A fall from the precipice

Photo by Dave Hoefler via Unsplash. It so beautifully reflects the feeling of infinity.

At seventeen I dreamed a life I had not lived

A death I had not died

***

I fell into the ocean, blue as the sky

The rocks claimed my body as the sky

Claimed my spirit and I rose

Beyond the precipice of the cliff that killed me

Into a sky so blue the word is unjust

***

Expanding

Glittering

Upwards

Outwards

Into everything

Into nothing

Into euphoria

Into eternity

***

Just shy of

Comprehending

Knowing

Remembering the secrets

I fall from the precipice

Of dreaming

Of infinity

Into wakefulness

***

I carry this dream now, so vivid a waking

So vibrant

Realer than real

And I remember that

Life is the dreaming and

I am

All that exists
