Echoes increasing and piercing the mind ,
Giving us hopes that before made us blind,
Of jewels and wishes we dreamt just to find
The rulers of childhood yearnings.
The books and the pages have now blown away ,
To stories of literature day after day ,
To history and history stuck in replay ,
That only confirms our learning.
We wait and we wander from here and to there
Living in silhouettes- shadows of care-
That hide and conceal the facades we must bear ,
That somehow will turn to our earning.
The muses will find us among our own dreams
Making us understand nothing’s what seems
And visions of fairy tales blink in the gleams
Of the truth we are now discerning.
