A Gift Worth Remembering

What gifts from Christmas do you really remember?

Twas the night before Christmas

And everything was in order

The decorations are all hanging

Waiting for Santa to show up and leave us his presents

Been a good girl or boy the excitement is bubbling

Wanting the sun to show its face and reveal everything left under the tree

A present for me and a present for you

The excitement of Christmas seems to grow dim as we grow old

The magic of the day all fades away

What's left is the stress of all that is for us to do

A few days later and the celebration is over

There is not much left for us to remember

The presents are gone and the decorations away

Even in our rush and excitement, we are so easy to forget

But the one gift that lasts forever is the reason for it all

A gift that was given not just to the good boys and girls

It's a gift worth remembering not just on Christmas day

The gift of life through the birth of Christ

Even if we choose not to celebrate the gift is here for you to choose
