A familiar voice

A poem

By Karan w. Published 2 years ago • 1 min read

The darkness of the night spread all around, In the house, silence, but in hearts storms did resound. When on the phone, they heard the voice, once quieted, Hello, Mom! It's Haley speaking, sorry for being delayed. Fear, regret, anxiety, and haunting memories took their toll, The winter couple, trapped, with a heavy soul. Is she alive, or just a shadow from the past? They dug at the spot where they had buried her fast. Haley's bones were found, cold and still, But the knife was missing, a mystery to fill. »»————><————««»»————><————««»»————><————««
