Right now I don’t feel at home anywhere
But I hope to be home someday
I want a big kitchen with lots of room
For the family cooks to prep and work
And together prepare a meal
For everyone to enjoy
The kitchen is the heart of a home
Where love is created from all the many
Ingredients that sustain us
I envision a huge dining table
With plenty of room for dozens
To gather and feast together
Sharing food, laughter and love
I picture a living space, vast but cozy
With seating for everyone
To enjoy popcorn and a good movie
Or a karaoke festival of friends
I want a place for everything
And everything in its place
And I want the one who knows where it all is
To be me, me, me
At the end of the day, I want my own bed
Where I can cuddle the dog and lay down my head
And know I am home, sweet home
