A Deep Dark Night in the Jungle

Frightening more than belief

A Deep Dark Night in the Jungle

A deep dark night in the jungle breathes,

Where vines hang low like secret dreams,

And creatures whisper through the shadows,

While stars look down in broken streams.

The air is thick, the moon is hidden,

The sky a stranger’s velvet shroud,

Each step is slow, each sound uncertain,

Each heartbeat loud, fierce and proud.

A serpent moves, the leaves are trembling,

The forest hums with something near,

The scent of life, the pulse of danger,

The edge of wonder mixed with fear.

A distant call of something hunting,

A splash beneath the river’s skin,

The night becomes a breathing creature,

Alive with everything within.

The eyes of beasts reflect the firelight,

The wind runs fingers through the trees,

And deep below the tangled roots,

The earth hums quiet melodies.

It’s not the dark that truly frightens,

But knowing we are not alone,

That every sound has life behind it,

That wild hearts beat beside our own.

The night grows thick with whispers,

You feel the pulse beneath your skin,

The jungle claims you in its rhythm,

And will not let you out again.
