Cranky feelings all around
A slumber mood and some tired eyes
I am sitting here waiting on lies
Hoping to feel alive on this cold dark morning
A coffee morning
Feels so good
The bitter sensation
Never lets you forget
A nights rest
But your tired eyes
stay locked on the ceiling
regreeting getting out of bed
You aren't alive
until that fruity chocolatey drug pours into your soul
It's just a sip but it captivates your mind
It holds you captive until you divulge
The most common drug around
We are all addicts to it's taste
We may hate it but we all love it
The nice warm cup of coffee to satisfy out mornings
I guess today will be a coffee type of day

Anthony, what a warm poem. I don't drink coffee, but I sensed the admiration for it through this piece.
