A climb at eyes

a spoken transcription

By Joseph GardinerPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Make me a room.

Make me three bodies to belong to. For my medulla oblongata to feel a longing throng through.

Swept in off the shelf like some unfinished oevre, and then over us as though a stoned minerva.

A Movement with no beginning or end, a mise en scène I can fling together into the shape of ten unique understandings of what an out-of-body-experience might entail. Descending into the sofa engulfing us in a duck's bill. Hand on womb, my fingers depart and swarm into let loose the bounds of this coop, clipping netting, unfettering, multiplicitous blood-letting, crying through gasping, a heart of felt rasping, cotton clasped behind an open cage of curtain rails. Derail the snail trail that leads from my button to the buttons that run below the bottom I've lost from out the fire escape we forgot to close after our last cigarette break.

I'm sorry! That was probably my mistake...

I'm starting to think I wont make it back.

Basically, I think I'm trapped.

The base of me has fallen out of my back, and I'm not going to try and pull it back.

I'm going to become this room. Though I hear today that become is just another word for consume. I heard they bought some lights for in here. I heard you brought yourself alight. I bought myself. Well, I brought what I thought ought to be enough but was told I was short.

Tell me something I don't know.

No, I shan't have to buy this room. I've floored it. Renovated the walls with a thousand cushions. An apholstered holding studded and moulded for my percerption to unfold to fill. My status is now currently all of here bar that windowsill.

A care for my inhabitants with the utmost compassion. Their welfare is something of which I am beyond aware of. If I slept on them. Their fears would be what I dreamed of. I have become kingdom. I will send three doves. Lifting them on a softly furnished finger. Blowing gently bestowing freedom.
