A Christmas Miracle
Ode to Harriet Tubman…
There was a time when only you existed…
Relentless, filled with resistance…
You had to watch as the long years of your friendships…
Were loaded as shipments, then tragically ended…
Not many could make your tough selfless commitment…
Stand against vengeance, with no regretful decisions…
You used the enemies spoken love of religion…
And then silently saved your family on Christmas…
I thank God, that he told you through premonitions…
That your chosen gift is, to go make a difference…
The conductor for those who needed deliverance…
You made a way instead of asking for forgiveness…
“On Christmas Eve 1854, Harriet Tubman, the fearless “conductor” on the Underground Railroad, rescued three of her brothers from the plantation near Cambridge, Md., where they were enslaved…”
