A child's thought COVID-19

A child's thought COVID-19

By Barbara FaloPublished 5 years ago • 1 min read

I'm a child in today's world of chaos, what's going on

I want to know, need this scare to be gone,

I've asked mommy & mom, daddy & dad

Even mom & dad, aunties, uncle, they seem sad

There is no simple answer, just the run around

No matter what I ask, just see people falling down

Quarantine, what does that mean to me

All the people of the world affected, even over seas

No one seems, to ask a child what we feel

There is something wrong, that's the true deal

I'm a child, wanting to not be scared

Do I trust anyone, do I even dare,

I am told to wear a mask with smiles, funny faces on it

I know one thing, it appears nothing is legit

Are we fighting a mysterious enemy of the people

I find myself, saying is that even legal

I am just a kid, relying on the truth from this COVID-19, ROAR

I am just a child, I refuse to meet you at my door

My thoughts to this dilemma, is what, why, where, and how

You are one disease, I want gone yesterday, tomorrow and now.
